The 2 free-response questions
- Question 1. Article Analysis Question. One summarized peer-reviewed study. You identify how it was done (the method, the variables and the ethical guidelines), interpret its basic statistics, explain whether its findings can be generalized, and explain how it supports or refutes the psychological concept it tests.
- Question 2. Evidence-Based Question. Three summarized peer-reviewed studies on one topic. You propose a claim about the topic, then support it with evidence from the sources and with what you learned in the course, explaining how each piece of evidence supports the claim.
College Board defines the task verbs. Identify means name it without explaining. Describe means give its relevant characteristics. Explain means say how or why, with evidence or reasoning. Propose means state a claim in your own words.
